What Will it Take for Green Bay to Win the NFC Championship Game | Ticket King Green Bay

What is it going to take for the Green Bay Packers to win the NFC Championship this weekend? Many things, for sure. What's changed since the Packers faced the 49ers in November? Many things. We won't get too deep into the weeds with this effort, but it's safe to say that both teams will be making adjustments.

First, Aaron Rodgers will (hopefully) not fumble the ball inside the Packers 20 yard line again. That was the spark for the 49ers last time. San Francisco seemed to be playing at a different level of speed after that fumble, and Green Bay couldn't match it. This game will feature two solid efforts by by the quarterbacks. LaFleur will be looking to get pocket time down to  milliseconds if need be, and Aaron will surely be making short, quick sideline passes to Adams, right from the get go. Doubling up on pass protection in the backfield will also be part of this game.

Tyler Ervin has put a wrinkle into the Green Bay offense, and the Packers return game. He might even peel off a return for a touchdown, shaking up the 49ers plans in a big way. Expect Jimmy Graham to get open in the flat this game, and Rodgers will have just enough time to get the ball to him. We're not talking huge gains, but those big ones on third down.

Finally, Rodgers has the experience. He knows what it's like to win in high pressure games. The Packers defense will pressure Garoppolo in this game, and possibly pick off a pass or two. We're not going to predict a win for the Packers, but rest assured, this game will not be a blowout for either team. Go Pack Go!

Packers vs Lions 2019 Game Preview | Ticket King Green Bay

The Green Bay Packers are coming off their most important win the of the season, when they beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-24 after jumping out to a 31-3 lead. This week, the Detroit Lions come to town, looking for their third-straight win at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers is getting more and more comfortable in this offense each week. Even though it didn’t show up on the stat sheet, Rodgers had his best game of the season in Dallas. Without Davante Adams, Rodgers found nine different receivers, and was calm as could be in key moments. The Packers will be without Adams again this week, so they will need a similar game from Rodgers.

 The other Aaron is coming off his best performance of his career, scoring four touchdowns. Without Davante Adams, the Packers are going to need a similar performance from the running game, but unlike last week, Jones will not have to do it all by himself. After the big hit two weeks ago that many feared ended his season, and possibly his career, Jamal Williams has already cleared concussion protocol and is back for the Packers. That is welcome news, as now, with Tra Carson, then Matt LaFleur can split the running load between three running backs, and keep the workload off of Jones so he is fresher for later on in the season.

Even though the focus will be on the running backs this week, the wide receiver core unit will need to provide a similar performance as they had in Dallas. They weren’t special, but they came up big for Aaron Rodgers when they needed to.

The Packers have gotten more than their return on their investment in Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith. “The Smiths” could very well be the first team All-Pro for both outside linebacker positions at the end of the season. They have been that good. They were in Dak Prescott’s face all day in Dallas, but Prescott was able to slip away on many occasions because of his athletic ability. That will not be happening with Matthew Stafford. The Lions offensive line has their hands full in this one.

This is a young secondary is, talented & opportunistic, and chances, and based on what we have seen so far this season, they will be. Final Score: 24-17 Packers.

Packers 53 Man Roster 2019 | Ticket King Green Bay

The player transaction period of the 2019 NFL Off season has come to a close. We’re so incredibly early with our thoughts on who will start for the Packers in 2019, but let’s try to predict how the 53-man roster will stack up.

Quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers, DeShone Kizer, Tim Boyle. Cut: Manny Wilkens- For the second straight season, the Packers carry the same three quarterbacks. Wilkens has an uphill battle to unseat another back up, but has a shot at the practice squad.

Running Backs: Aaron Jones, Jamal Williams, Dexter Williams- The Packers have a pair of rising stars in Jones and Jamal Williams. Dexter Williams, the rookie from Notre Dame, will be a nice third down back for them. The team goes into this spring with six men on the roster, four of which will be competing for that third spot.

Fullbacks: Danny Vitale- After last season’s goal line issues, which stemmed from having no fullback, the Packers will carry one this season.

Tight Ends: Jimmy Graham, Marcedes Lewis, Robert Tonyan, Jace Sternberger - The Packers will carry four tight ends, and the main reason they keep Graham this season is because of his contract. Graham and Lewis will begin the season on the top of the depth chart, but don’t be surprised if Tonyan and Sternberger finish the season 1 and 2 on the depth chart.

Wide Receivers: Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Eq. St. Brown, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J’Mon Moore, Jake Kumerow - If Mike McCarthy was still the head coach of this team, the Packers might keep Trevor Davis as well, but with this new system, don’t expect them to keep more than six wide receivers.

Offensive Lineman: David Bhaktiari, Billy Turner, Corey Linsley, Cole Madison, Brian Bulaga, Jason Spriggs, Lane Taylor, Elgton Jenkins, Justin McCray - Out of all of the position groups, this one will be the hardest to predict. Any of about five different combinations could open the season as the starting five.

Defensive Lineman: Montravius Adams, Kenny Clark, Mike Daniels, Kingsley Keke, Tyler Lancaster, Dean Lowry - The Packers never carry that many defensive linemen, so six sounds about right. Clark, Daniels, and Adams will be the starters.

Linebackers:  Oren Burks, Kendall Donnerson, Kyler Fackrell, Rashan Gary, Reggie Gilbert, Blake Martinez, Preston Smith, Za’Darius Smith - First-round draft choice Rashan Gary is being listed as a linebacker, although he might line up a lot as a defensive end during passing situations. Expect Burks to take over inside next to Martinez. Ty Summers ends up on the practice squad.

Cornerbacks: Jaire Alexander, Kevin King, Josh Jackson, Ka’Dar Hollman, Tony Brown, Will Redmond - Years ago, Brown and Redmond would not have been kept. But this is a passing league now, so you need all the cornerbacks you can get.

Safeties: Adrian Amos, Josh Jones, Darnell Savage, Raven Greene - These are the four the Packers currently have listed, but do not be surprised if they take a look at other team’s cuts and add to their safety position from that.

Special Teams: Mason Crosby, JK Scott, Hunter Bradley

  

Did the First Gutenkunst Draft Generate Solid Prospects?

The 2019 NFL Draft has come and gone, so let’s jump right in and review the Packers draft. It is safe to say that this was not exactly the most hoped for draft for Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst.

Round 1A: Rashan Gary/DE/Michigan-  Of all the options on the table for Gutekunst here, and with no overly pressing need, he elects to go with a player who looks good on paper, but has never played up to his potential? Noah Fant was available, Brian Burns was available, Martez Sweat was available, the best wide receivers were still on the board. Gutekunst could have even traded down. We’ll see if this pick works for the Packers, and there is time, seeing that free agency pick ups will be the first line of defense, literally.  

Round 1B: This one was better, and Gutekunst actually traded up, which was something Ted Thompson would have never done, to select Maryland safety Darnell Savage. Savage was a high riser leading up to the draft, and has speed and ball-hawking skills NFL teams drool over. Expect Savage to start from day one.

Round 2: Elgton Jenkins/OG/Mississippi State- Broncos director of football operations John Elway traded up two spots in front of the Packers to select Lock, so Gutekunst went back to the board and filled a need. The selection of Jenkins and the return of last year’s fourth round selection Cole Madison means that Lane Taylor is pretty much finished in Green Bay.

Round 3: Jace Sternberger/TE/Texas A&M- The Packers could not leave this draft without adding to their tight end position, and Gutekunst added a tremendous athlete with high potential here. Sternberger could grow into an elite player in Gutekunst’s offense.

Round 5: Kinglsey Keke/DT/Texas A&M- Gutekunst went back to College Station and grabbed Keke, a big body who will be a nice rotational piece in Mike Pettine’s version of the 3-4.

Round 6: Dexter Williams/RB/Notre Dame- The Packers needed to add a third running back, specifically for third downs, and they did just that with Williams.

Round 7: Ty Summers/ILB/TCU- With the departure of Clay Matthews, the Packers needed to add depth late in this draft to their inside linebacker position. Summers will probably end up on the practice squad in year one, but this is a long term project.

Billy Joel 2017 Tour

Joel has never played in Green Bay. This tour includes just eight stadium shows and it's the only NFL venue on the list. It takes three days of preparations for the show, at any stop that involves stadium seating. The Packers organization will work hard to get the field back into shape for "Family Night." Joel will be performing roughly 30 songs over 2.5 hours. Ticket holders can expect to hear some very rare songs, as well as his pop music hits. What does Billy Joel do in his spare time? Over the years, he's invested in a motorcycle company, and boat manufacturing.

Lions 2017 Mock Draft | Ticket King Green Bay

As we continue our tour through our first edition mock drafts of the NFC North, our final stop is the Detroit Lions. This team is looking for corner backs, wide receivers, and offensive lineman.

Round 1: Ryan Ramczyk/OT/Wisconsin- The Lions need to fix this offensive line. Bad. The departure of Riley Rieff makes the situation even more dire. Ryan Ramczyk, this year's feature offensive lineman from Wisconsin, will go a long way to fixing that.

Round 2: Dion Dawkins/OG/Temple- Yes, the Lions offensive line is that bad that they need to spend their first two draft choices on it. Dawkins, the big interior lineman from Temple, will start day one.

Round 3: Cameron Sutton/CB/Tennessee- Next up for the Lions is the fix this terrible secondary. Sutton is yet another potential ace cover man in a draft that is loaded with them. He is a little undersized, but a tough customer.

Round 4: Isaiah Ford/WR/Virginia Tech- The Lions could also use another target for Matthew Stafford out of this draft. Ford isn't the most physically gifted wide receiver, but he works hard underneath coverage and could be outstanding in this big play offensive at moving the chains.

Round 5: Corn Elder/CB/Miami(FL)- The Lions really do need cornerbacks, bad. They have been getting torched by Aaron Rodgers for far too long. Elder could be outstanding on special teams and as a dime corner in the slot, as long has he has help over the top.

Round 6A: Matthew Dayes/RB/North Carolina State- At 5'9”, 205 pounds, Dayes is a tough bowling ball between the tackles, very much like Maurice Jones-Drew used to be for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dayes could get alot of carries early, and who know from there.

Round 6B: Eric Saubert/TE/Drake- This small school project from Drake University, Eric Saubert, has prototypical size for an NFL tight end, and could be a great compliment to Eric Ebron in this offense.

Round 7: Jeremiah Ledbetter/DT/DE/Arkansas- Late in this draft like this, you are looking for bench players and guys who can be good rotational players. Ledbetter can play inside on passing downs our outside on rushing downs. He’s a good guy off the bench to have. 

2017 Packers Mock Draft | Ticket King Green Bay

Wisconsin sports fans have their eyes on the NCAA tournament. They are just weeks away from Brewers opening day. What are we doing up here in Green Bay? We're talking about the Packers mock draft. For that, we turn to T.J. Bryce as he just polished his crystal ball, and is ready to throw down his mock draft picks for the Packers. 

Round 1: Takkarist McKinley/OLB/UCLA- This has been a strange off season so far for the Packers, hasn't it? Now their priority switches to corner-back, outside linebacker, and interior offensive lineman. You can find lots of good interior lineman in later rounds and this corner-back pool is maybe the deepest in decades. I know the “fanboys” want T.J. Watt in this spot. Yes I know he's a name you recognize and he played at Wisconsin. I'm going to let you in on a little secret. McKinley's a better player.

Round 2: Kevin King/CB/Washington- The Packers have enough zone and slot corners. They need a guy who can grow into an “ace cover man.” At 6'3”, closer to 6'4”, 200 pounds, King has the size and “measurable” to do just that.

Round 3: Jaleel Johnson/DT/DE/Iowa- At 6'3”, 320 pounds, Johnson can play either inside as a pass rushing nose tackle or outside as a run stopping defensive end. He’s a good rotational player and a good athlete. The Packers badly need some depth along that line, out of this draft.

Round 4: Nico Siragusa/OG/San Diego State- I originally had this man going to the Vikings a couple of months ago, but with the changes to both team's lines via free agency, the Packers have a need at guard. Siragusa could start playing on day one.

Round 5A: James Conner/RB/Pittsburgh- The Packers also need a running back out of this draft. At 5'11”, 235 pounds, Conner is a tough, cold weather slugger who gets even better in bad weather and it fits perfectly for this team in this climate.

Round 5B: Jarron Jones/DT/DE/Notre Dame- At 6'6”, 316 pounds, Jones is another good athlete who would make for a fantastic rotational player along line defensive line, one that can play either inside on passing downs or outside on rushing downs.

Round 6: Marquez White/CB/Florida State- The Packers could really use two corners out of this draft. White could make for a good nickel/dime slot corner and a special teams player.

Round 7: Corey Levin/OG/C/Chattanooga- Levin has the size and versatility to player either center or guard in the NFL as a backup. That’s a good fit for the Packers. 

Aaron Rodgers "Wild Ride" and the Crashing Halt | Ticket King Green Bay

Usually this is the time when we have T.J. Bryce do a “Stock Market Report," essentially a refreshing way to review a football game. However, for the NFC championship game Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, there's really no point. There's nothing to review. That game went how he predicted that it would it would go, down to the minute by minute details. He predicted that “Packers would come out flat on offense, the Falcons would jump up big early, and the Packers would score late to save face.” So after the mourning period had passed, we thought we would post his last Packers post of the season.  

“I'm not mad. I'm not angry. I'm not upset. I'm not even sad. The Packers did not choke, they did not blow it, they did not screw up, nor did they fold under pressure. Don't blame the controversial non-safety in the second quarter. It was the correct call. Don't blame the Mason Crosby missed field goal. That had very little effect on the outcome of the game. There's nobody to blame here. Literally. There is nobody, anywhere, they can blame for this loss.

You want to know what you blame? They ran out of players, and that's where you lay the blame. This goes way beyond the typical “oh they have suffered a lot of injuries.” I've been sitting here the last few weeks laughing at the Packers injury updates. That's all you can do. Their choices at cornerback today were a badly wounded Damarious Randall, who had no business playing in this game, or these playoffs for that matter. Randall has been playing with a pulled groin for a few weeks now. Have you ever tried to move with a pulled groin? Yeah, it hurts, BAD. But he had had to play, because they had nobody else. Their next choice was the also badly wounded Quinten Rollins, who just cleared concussion protocol late this week, has dealt with injuries all season, and the only reason he was active for this game was because it was the NFC championship game. If it were week number three in September, neither Randall nor Rollins would have been anywhere near the field today. The rest of their choices were LaDarius Gunter, whom the original plan was for him to be the fifth cornerback this season, and the 13^th and 14^th or whatever they're on cornerbacks they have played this season. So yeah, let's recap. Their number 2 and 3 corners, both badly wounded, 5, 13, and 14. Just think about that for a while. To make a long story short, they finally ran out of street free agents to run out there on defense and their offense got so banged up they couldn't carry them anymore.

I knew this was coming though at some point, I knew all week it was going to happen, and I knew it was going to go down in this manner. Joyrides, no matter how much fun they are, always end in a crash.  Packers fans got in Aaron’s car back in early November, went for a joyride with him, and finally crashed, Sunday afternoon, in the Georgia Dome.  He was behind the wheel, and what a crazy, ridiculous, wild, insane, fun ride he took us all on. Forget about the NFC championship game. For two months, Aaron Rodgers played the quarterback position better than it has ever been played. You need eyes, not stats, to realize this. I could go on and on about that right now, but that is what I've spent the last two months doing. Instead, I will say this. Right now I feel like I'm in a group of people that just crashed a car via a joyride, we are all sitting on the ground, smiling, saying to ourselves, “that was fun.”

So, hats off to you Aaron Rodgers, and thank you for taking us on this wild ride. I wouldn't trade the last two months for anything. Even though it did not result in a Super Bowl win, that doesn't matter. The last two months shall be forever remembered as “Mr. Rodgers’ Wild Ride.”

Who Will Start for the Green Bay Packers in 2016 | Ticket King Green Bay

This is our first foray into who should be a Packers starter, second and third string players. We “NFL pundits at Ticket King Green Bay would set the Packers depth chart just like this:

1. Aaron Rodgers- Stop laughing.
2. Brett Hundley- The Packers are looking for Hundley to take big steps forward this season.
3. Joe Callahan- Headed to the practice squad.

RB
1. Eddie Lacy- He lost a ton of weight this off season, and looks as good as ever so far in practice.
2. James Starks- How much more does Starks have left in his tank?
3. John Crockett- Against what I thought, the Packers appear to give the speed demon from North Dakota State a second season.

FB
1. Aaron Ripkowski- Takes over for fan favorite John Kuhn this season.

TE
1. Richard Rodgers- Still remains the starter, but won't have to do it all this season.
2. Jared Cook- The Packers “big” free agent signing.
3. Kennard Backman- The 7th round project from last year enters year two.

WR
1. Jordy Nelson- We’re still nervous about that ACL.
2. Randall Cobb- Always injured, and this season, is coming back from a broken sternum.
3. Davante Adams- The Packers, unlike most of their fans, really believe in this guy.
4. Jeff Janis- Appears to be making the coaches happy during offseason workouts, and so far in training camp.
5. Ty Montgomery- The return specialist is still having problems with that high knee sprain.
6. Trevor Davis- Another speed demon.
7. Jared Abbredaris- A fan favorite, but if the Packers keep an extra player at another position he is the odd man out.

OL
T: David Bakhtiari- The former 4th round draft choice just gets better and better with each game.
T: Brian Bulaga- One more injury and the Packers may finally have had enough.
G: Josh Sitton- Still the best interior lineman in the game.
G: T.J. Lang- A solid professional, keeps the curtain up and does his job. You can’t have All-Pro's at every position.
C: Corey Linsley- On his way to becoming the best center in the business soon.
6. J.C. Tretter- A super-athletic lineman with high intelligence. An ideal "supersub".
7. Jason Spriggs- The second round draft choice could take over for Bulaga at some point.
8. Kyle Murphy- A smart tackle from Stanford. He will provide good depth.
9. Don Barclay- A perfect swingman with experience.

Dixie Chicks Green Bay Tickets 2016 | Show Set for September 24

The Dixie Chicks are coming to Green Bay! It's a Resch Center concert, set for September 24. Opening the show will be Augustana. The tour is called "MMXVI World Tour" and it all started on April 20, with a show in Amsterdam. The band will spend the spring in Europe, and then come to the United States for the summer. Vikings 2016 Draft Review | Ticket King Green Bay

The 2016 NFL draft has come and gone. At times, we like to focus on what the NFC North opponents focused on for their draft picks. Today, we’re going to look at the Minnesota Vikings draft.

Round 1: Laqon Treadwell/WR/Mississippi- I did not think Treadwell would make it this deep into the draft. He was the top wide receiver on several boards, but ended up being the 4^th wide receiver taken. One of the Vikings top needs from this draft was upgrading their wide receiver unit, and they needed a starter from somewhere near the top of the draft. They got one in Treadwell.

Round 2: Mackensie Alexander/CB/Clemson- One of the more surprise moves of the draft, the Vikings grabbed Alexander, the ace cover man from Clemson in round two. I did not have cornerback anywhere on my list of Vikings needs. This tells me the Vikings didn't like what they saw from Tre Waynes in year one.

Round 4: Willie Beavers/G/Western Michigan- Many people had offensive line as the top need for the Vikings in this draft. The Vikings finally answered that need in round four, and not in the way we thought. They needed a tackle, they drafted a guard who could be moved to tackle. With Beavers, the Vikings drafted a mobile offensive lineman with versatility and a high ceiling.

Round 5: Kentrell Brothers/ILB/Missouri- The Vikings needed a linebacker as well, and once again, they didn't go the route we all thought. We tagged them for an outside linebacker, they took an inside linebacker more suited for a 3-4 defense. Brothers is a smart player, maybe maybe the want a long term quarterback at middle linebacker with this choice.

Round 6A: Moritz Boehringer/WR/Germany- The Minnesota Vikings made history in round six when they made Boehringer the first player to ever be drafted without playing college football in North America. Boehringer has a high ceiling and could pay big dividends down the road.

Round 6B: David Morgan/WR/UTSA- The Vikings needed a lot of depth at wide receiver out of this draft, and made Morgan their third wide receiver they took in round six. The Texas-San Antonio product has some big time size, and could be a good possession receiver for Touchdown Teddy in the coming years.

Round 7A: Stephen Weatherly/OLB/Vanderbilt- The Vikings needed an outside linebacker in this draft and finally got one in round seven. Weatherly is a terrific athlete with a high ceiling and could be the next Viking drafted late and made into a NFL-caliber pass rusher.

Round 7B: Jayron Kearse/S/Clemson- Kearse has some fantastic size, standing nearly 6'5” with long arms. Kearse could begin his career on the practice squad and we will see from there. 

Packers Versus Seahawks Preview | Ticket King Green Bay

It’s hard to believe week one of the 2015 NFL season is already in the books. There were numerous surprises such as the Bills upset of the Colts, the Giants meltdown against the Cowboys, and of course, the disaster that was the second Monday night game between the Vikings and 49ers. In fact, our senior writer and analyst T.J. Bryce was laughing the entire game and he was not alone. ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer, who did the play by play for the game along with Chris Berman, stated the game was “a comedy of errors” at one point of the first half.

We got off track a little bit there. Let’s get back to the topic at hand, previewing the Packers-Seahawks game. The Packers put together a decent week one performance against the Bears, winning 31-23. Now the Packers come home for the home opener against the Seattle.

Can Aaron Rodgers build on his week one performance? Yes, we know, we know the first question in every preview references Aaron Rodgers. Well, it should. Rodgers finished week one 18 of 23 for 189 yards and three touchdowns. The yards total was so low because the Packers didn't have the ball much.

Can Eddie Lacy find some running room against this Seattle defense? Lacy had a solid week one, finishing with 19 carries for 85 yards. We expect Lacy to be around 20 carries a game until around the middle of October. We do expect Lacy to have a similar performance to week one.

Is James Jones the real deal? The Packers signed James Jones off the street prior to the start of the season due to the Jordy Nelson injury. On Sunday, the Bears secondary made Jones look like the best receiver in the history of the NFL. Of course, it was the Bears, who may very well have the worst secondary in the league at the moment. It was good for Jones to get some game time under his belt, because he gets a much tougher test this week, Richard Sherman.

Can the Packers defense please get off the field on third down? The Packers defense did a pretty good job on Sunday, for two downs. Of course, each team has three downs to get a new set of downs. The Packers forgot about third down defensively on Sunday. The Packers defense got the Bears to third down, a lot. 17 times in fact. The problem is that Bears converted 11 of them. Two more were converted on 4^th down, three more were converted into field goals, and one was kept going following a Sam Shields off-sides penalty. The Packers will need to do a lot better on third down as the season goes along. When T.J. penned the Packers for four losses, this was one of them. Final score: 34-20 Seattle.
