Summerfest 2015 to Feature Linkin Park on June 30 | Ticket King Green Bay

“Rap Rockers” Linkin Park will hit the Marcus Amphitheater stage for Summerfest 2015 on June 30. They are the second headline show announced for Summerfest’s ten day run. The band may not be known very well outside their tight knit community, but that community does number in the millions. Linkin Park is touring in support of their sixth album to date.

Warner Brothers records took a shot on Linkin Park, back in 1996. Their first album, titled Hybrid Theory didn’t come out until four years after the band got together.  They made one (huge) lineup change before hitting it big.  Their first singer was replaced by Chester Bennington.  That change seemed to be the final piece of the puzzle. Hybrid Theory sold over 10 million copies, their second best effort to date.

In 2003, the band released Meteora, and that cemented these “Nu Metal/Rap Rock” performers into history. In 16 years, disk sales for that album have surpassed 20 million.  Helping that effort along were songs like “Numb” and “From the Inside.” The band also has a loyal YouTube following. Their videos are well produced, and the band’s sound carries over to the visual medium very well.

Linkin Park takes their time when it comes to producing new material. As mentioned, the band has released just six albums, in sixteen years. Each album seems to stand on its own

, with the band making a serious effort to explore new styles, but maintaining a devotion to their first efforts way back when. The 2014 release of The Hunting Party was mostly the work of Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson. The Linkin Park tour 2015 starts in January, with dates running through mid-February. The summer leg of the tour starts in May, with a show at the “Rock In Reo” venue in Las Vegas.  More tour dates will be announced as the year comes to an end.  

Packers Host Eagles | Ticket King Green Bay

Last week, the Chicago Bears stayed overnight in a Green Bay hotel. Somebody forgot to tell them they were supposed to play a football game while they were there. The final score was 55-13, including a lead of 42-0 at the half. It wasn’t really that close either. So now the Eagles come to town to play the Packers.

How long will Eddie Lacy’s success in the screen game last? Lacy has quickly become just as much of a threat in the passing game as he is running the ball. Lacy is making big plays in the screen game and one must wonder how long can this continue. Well, if he can keep doing this he is proving his worth as the screen game is basically a glorified running play. The question is, can they get Starks and Harris involved in it too?

Will the guards play? The Green Bay Packers have perhaps the best interior line in the league going right now in Josh Sitton, T.J. Lang and Corey Linsley. Problem is, Sitton and Lang played with special shoes last week due to foot injuries. We see no reason as to why they cant do it again. If not, Lane Taylor or possibly J.C. Tretter could get the start(s).

Have the Packers figured out the middle linebacker position? Clay Matthews has had a very ineffective season rushing the passer. The Packers have a deep pass rush on the outside with Datone Jones, Mike Daniels, Mike Neal, Julius Peppers, Nick Perry, and Jayrone Elliot. In other words Matthews talents are of better use somewhere else- inside linebacker. Matthews slid inside and he played awesome. If he can do that, this is game-changing league wide and may all of a sudden make the Packers the favorites.

Can a tight end please make a play? The Packers tight ends have not played well this season. One of them needs to start stepping up and making some consistent plays, or the Packers will be searching for a tight end in the offseason. Final Verdict: At the end of the day, Mark Sanchez will bestarting for the Eagles, not Nick Foles. Packers win this game 34-23.

Florida Georgia Line Comes To Summerfest 2015 | Ticket King

Summerfest announced its first headliner of the 2015 Marcus Amphitheater lineup on Thursday. Country stars Florida Georgia Line will open the forty-seventh installment of the world's largest music festival on June 24, 2015. The duo will be joined by special guests Frankie Ballard and Thomas Rhett at the Marcus Amphitheater that night.

The announcement of Summerfest's first act of 2015 comes after an unprecedented 2014 season. The festival, held on Milwaukee's lakefront, drew nearly 900,000 patrons to the grounds and hosted over 800 performers this summer. More than 600 international and American media outlets covered the event, the most in Summerfest history, spurred by increased sponsor interest, employment, concession sales, and a lineup that featured the likes of Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band, and Bruno Mars, to name just a few.

2015 marks Florida Georgia Line's third appearance at the Summerfest grounds, though it will be the duo's first as headliners at the Marcus Amphitheater. In 2012, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, played an afternoon show at a side stage before earning a opening spot for Luke Bryan the following year. This past su

mmer, the pair made an unexpected stop at the festival as surprise guests at another Luke Bryan show.

Kelley, a native of Florida, and Hubbard, from Georgia, formed one of country's biggest contemporary acts in 2010 at Belmont University. The group's debut EP, Anything Like Me, was released later that year, managing the attention of Jason Aldean, who featured one of the release's songs on his own album.

The pair went on to put out their first full-length studio album in 2012, which earned them a trio of opening roles on tours with Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, and Jason Aldean since, as well as a full fledged tour of their own. Florida Georgia Line's June 2015 stop at Summerfest will be part of their Anything Goes Tour, featuring selections from their second album released in October.

Packers Take On The Bears At Lambeau Field | Ticket King Green Bay

Well it is time for the oldest rivalry in the NFL to be renewed, the Packers and the Bears. The first meeting this season turned into a laugher in the second half as the Packers intercepted Jay Cutler twice on their way to a 38-17 victory. Maybe Cutler won’t fold in the second half this time around. Here are our thoughts heading into the Packers game.

Can Eddie Lacy actually find some consistency running the ball? According to the advanced numbers, Lacy had his best game as a Packer in New Orleans. Too bad they lost. But much of that was done in the passing game and on one big play. He needs to find more consistency in the running game, and this bad Bears defense is just the team to do it against.

Aaron needs to get back on track- Aaron Rodgers was in the midst of a historic run before that debacle or whatever it was in New Orleans. He can’t have bad games like that. He just can’t. The Packers are built on him being lethally precise every game.

Who will play right guard? Starter T.J. Lang suffered a serious leg injury in New Orleans and is unlikely to play against

the Bears. That means that either Lane Taylor, who didn’t look to great, or J.C. Tretter, will start in his place. Tretter was going to be the center this season, but a major injury towards the end of training camp put him on the shelf the first half of the season. Corey Linsley, the rookie from Ohio State has stepped in for him, and has probably been the NFL’s rookie of the year outside of Sammy Watkins. Tretter does have the size and strength the Packers line for their guards, but he has not really practiced at the position before.

Will a Green Bay tight end step up to the task? The Packers have been doing a tight end by committee this season with Richard Rodgers, Brandon Bostick, and Andrew Quarless. This bunch needs to do a little bit more than what they are doing, Nelson, Cobb, and now Adams can’t do it all in the passing game.

Can the defense get back on track? Up until the debacle in New Orleans, in the Packers defense was actually playing well, having given up just 81 points in their last 23 quarters of play. In their defense, we know, bad pun, the Packers defense was missing their two best defensive backs in that game in Morgan Burnett and NFL defensive player of the year candidate Sam Shields. Both of those two should be ready to go this week, and that will help a lot. Final Verdict: The Packers should take care of business in this game. Final score, Packers 41-20.
