Packer's LB Options

packerslboptions The Green Bay Packers did not address their LB needs in the draft and that was one of the big questions coming into the 2010 NFL season. We all know how Teddy doesn't like to bring in veteran free agents, but in this case I really believe he should. There are two names out there that I think could make an impact. Keith Bullock and Adalius Thomas are the front runners in my opinion. Thomas has experience in a 3-4 scheme, and Bullock has a ton of leadership skills. Maybe Ted will trade for a LB as well, but we know it will be a slow process because he likes to build within the team. Ticket King Green Bay still has Summerfest tickets available for the rest of Summerfest.

Tramon Williams Signs Tender

tramonwilliamssignstender Cornerback Tramon Williams signed his restricted free agent agreement and will be paid $3.168 million this up coming season. If he did not sign his salary would have been reduced a ton and probably would have sat out till he got a new contract. I know the Packers had to have a huge sigh of relief when Williams signed the tender. The Packers now have their number two cornerback back in the starting role while Al Harris recovers from his torn acl. Tramon stepped up big time last season and the Pack need him if they have any shot of making the playoffs this season. Ticket King Green Bay has Simon and Garfunkel tickets available for the July 15th show at the Resch Center.

Mason Crosby Working on Making Kicks

masoncrosbyworkingonmakingkicks
Last season Packer's kicker Mason Crosby struggled to make his field goal attempts. He went 27 of 36 on his fg attempts., but had a four game span where he missed at least one per game. When the Packers drafted Crosby they wanted a 80% fg. kicker. Crosby's career average is 77.98 which isn't too far off. This year Crosby's goal is “Just make kicks,” the Green BayPackers kicker said during a recent break from organized team activities. I think Crosby has the leg strength and just has to not think about the kicks and just kick the ball between the uprights. I guess that's easier said than done.

Aaron Rodgers Apologizes For Comments

aaronrodgersapologizesforcomments Aaron Rodgers apologized for his disparaging remarks towards Ron Jaworksi and Tony Kornheiser while on ESPN radio with Homer. I believe Rodgers was just having some fun but came across over the radio as slamming a few ESPN analysts. This is what Rodgers had to say after the remarks “Unfortunately the message of really in jest talking about that probably was inappropriate for that setting,” Rodgers said, “and I didn’t mean to offend anybody personally. I have a lot of respect for those guys and what they do. It’s something that I know is more difficult than it looks sometimes. I meant no personal disrespect to anybody, and I apologize if any of them took offense to what I said. Unfortunately the translation is often lost when it’s on radio and not on TV. So for that I apologize.” If I was Rodgers I would stick to my guns about Tony Kornheiser, due to the fact all he ever talked about on MNF was #4 and it was really irritating as a fan to listen to him. You be the judge and decide for yourself if Rodgers meant any disrespect.

Al Harris Rehab

alharrisrehab Al Harris is still rehabbing his torn acl, but now is doing so at the Packer's facility. After working out with trainers near his home in Coral Springs, Fla., all off season, Harris reported to team headquarters to finish his rehab.“It’s the best place for me to finish up my rehab at this time of the year,” Harris said after Wednesday’s OTA practice during which he worked out inside the Don Hudson Center. There is no time table for his return but Harris is working his butt off to return.
