Ticket King Green Bay Dives Into the "Mock Draft" Mess | Detroit Lions

Lions Mock Draft 2015
When spring rolls around, it's a great time to look into the NFL draft. Since the Lions lost Suh to free agency, will they where will they look for a replacement? Are there bigger concerns for the team? To some, the loss of Suh means that the Lions will have to use up a first or second round pick to replace the "best tackle in the NFC." We think that Detroit will take a defensive tackle in the second round. The team will be hard pressed to find another solid corner back, seeing that they struggled against our Green Bay wide-outs in 2014.  So, without much more fanfare, here is our Ticket King Green Bay - Mock Draft II.  The Detroit Lions!

Round One: Kevin Johnson/CB/Wake Forest- The Lions are in a bad spot for their needs in the draft. It more likely they trade this choice than keep it. If they do keep it, they should zero in on Kevin Johnson, a corner back from Wake Forest who fills a need and is rising up the draft boards.

Round Two:  Michael Bennett/DT/Ohio State- Ndamukong Suh just signed a massive contract with the Dolphins, six years, 114 million to be exact. That leaves a huge hole, literally, in the Lions defense. They will need to replace Suh in the middle and Bennett could do that.

Round Three: Tre McBride/WR/William & Mary- The Lions need to continue to diversify their passing game. McBride would be another piece to that and could take pressure off of Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

Round Four: Josue Matias/OG/Florida State- The Lions need to add some depth to their offensive line and Matias has the size to play both inside and out.

Round Five: Karlos Williams/RB/Florida State- The Lions released Reggie Bush earlier this offseason and they will need some insurance in case what they are depending on doesn’t happen. Williams is a ncie big back who could be just that.

Round Six: Xzavier Dickson/LB/Alabama- The Lions need to add some depth to an olderish linebacking unit. Dickson could provide that depth.

Round Seven: Shane Carden/QB/East Carolina- The Lions need to develop a project at quarterback one of these days. Carden has an interesting skill set.
