Summerfest Milwaukee announced that Rush will be performing at the Marcus Amphitheater on July 4. The Canadian trio of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Pert have been performing their own special brand of "prog" rock for forty years. On this ride, they are supporting their 2011 effort titled Clockwork Angels. That would make almost 20 albums for the band.

Rush is certainly known for their complex musical songs, and their dedicated following. The band has won a fist full of Juno awards, but no Grammys. In fact, the group has so many gold and platinum albums, that they probably don't have to make any more new music, just to keep their fans happy. They could ride on their former glory, but they certainly don't do that. They still feel the urge to create new music.
Rush 2013 Tour Dates
Rush will start their 2013 tour in Austin Texas on April 23. For most of the spring, the band will be riding the highways of the southern United States. Once things warm up, they will take a quick trip over to England, Holland, Germany, and Sweden. They come back to the US on June 21, performing in Hershey PA. By the time they hit Milwaukee, the will have played over two dozen shows.
